Techno Remix

Alright. Let’s get one thing clear: you’re in love with techno music. No? Well, you’re in love with techno remixes, right? What!? Okay, okay. Let’s compromise. You’ve probably come here wanting to just hear a great techno remix. We can all agree on that!

I’m still trying to find the perfect techno music remix to display here. While I search, I want to offer you some information on making your own techno remix to impress friends, assist in courting wenches and for your own ego. You know you wanna be a DJ. We all do.

So to make a techno remix you pretty much just need two audio ingredients. The first is the vocal track, which is simply the singing or rapping of any song that you like, and the second is the beat you wish to put the artist on; obviously, because it’s a remix you do not want to just mix the default beat with the vocals. Doing that gives you the same result as the retail edition! Don’t be a schmuck and do this. It may be good for practice actually, for your first time. But after that, stick to finding new, fresh and hip beats and vocals and scrunching them together into a sonic mish-mash of extremes.

Electronic music has been plagued with cheap and throw-away remixes. You can and will be much better. You may be the next Paul van Dyk! Finally, I’ll leave you with a definition of remix from Wikipedia’s page: it is an alternative version of any song, different from the original mix. Things that can be changed: the pitch, tempo, playing time, equalization and sonic characteristics. Okay, so I’m paraphrasing. But you get the idea. To make a techno remix you need to alter your favorite song in any way you can imagine. The audio sky is the limit here.
